PRESS RELEASE

IPAC MOURNS PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) received with sadness the news of the demise of former President Muhammadu Buhari in London on Sunday July 13, 2025.

President Buhari was a great patriot, elder statesman and a distinguished army general.

He dedicated himself to the service of the nation as a military head of state from January 1984 to August 1985, and later as a democratically elected president from 2015 to 2023, after three attempts in 2003, 2007 and 2011, a testament to his resilience, tenacity of purpose and belief in the democratic process.

A man of integrity, Buhari championed the War Against Indiscipline (WAI) in our national life and confronted corruption head-on.

IPAC mourns a great leader who contributed immensely to the socio-political development of the nation. His legacy will continue to inspire and motivate current and future leaders in the quest for a better and greater Nigeria.

Our thoughts and prayers are with members of his immediate family, the Government and people of Katsina State and the entire nation. May God give Nigerians the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

May Allah also forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.

Dr Yusuf Mamman Dantalle

National Chairman, IPAC
